ASE-Certified Heavy-Duty Diesel Technician

Monson Truck & Trailer Repair, Davenport, IA | Full-Time, Shop-Based

Join our team rebuilding and troubleshooting Class 7–8 diesel engines, transmissions, and DPF systems. You'll work alongside Master Tech Maria Lopez on everything from routine maintenance to advanced diagnostics.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform engine/computer diagnostics, repairs, and rebuilds
  • Conduct DPF cleanings, forced regenerations, and emission tests
  • Read wiring diagrams & use scan tools (Cummins INSITE, Detroit DT)
  • Document work in our shop management system

Qualifications:

  • ASE Medium-Heavy Truck Certification (or equivalent)
  • 3+ years' heavy-duty experience
  • Strong computer/scan-tool skills
  • Valid CDL-A or willingness to obtain

Mobile Roadside Service Technician

75-mile radius from Monson shop | Full-Time, Field-Based

Be our on-road hero—respond to breakdowns, perform on-site repairs, tire changes, jump-starts, and welding in the field. You'll drive a fully stocked service truck and deliver 24/7 roadside support.

Responsibilities:

  • Dispatch to highways, farms, and job sites within 75 mi
  • Diagnose & repair flat tires, air-brake leaks, electrical faults
  • Conduct emergency fuel/fluid delivery and winch-outs
  • Maintain mobile truck inventory and safety paperwork

Qualifications:

  • ASE Certified or 2+ years' heavy-duty repair
  • Comfortable using welders, tire changers, and compressors
  • Excellent customer service and safety mindset
  • Clean driving record; CDL-A preferred

Parts Counter Specialist

Monson Parts Counter, Davenport, IA | Full-Time, In-Shop

Be the first point of contact for customers and technicians—identify parts, manage inventory, process orders, and coordinate with vendors. Your product knowledge will keep our shop—and our customers' shops—running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet walk-in customers, verify part numbers (VIN, OEM)
  • Manage stock levels, place replenishment orders
  • Cross-reference aftermarket & OEM alternatives
  • Process invoices, vendor returns, and core exchanges

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year parts counter or warehouse experience
  • Familiarity with heavy-duty filters, bearings, hoses, and brake components
  • Strong computer and ERP system skills
  • Excellent communication and multitasking
